The Challenge
For a small e-commerce business, warehousing can quickly become a time-consuming part of the operation even when order volume does not justify building a dedicated warehouse team.
The client wanted to continue running the business without spending significant personal time managing stock, picking orders, packing parcels or visiting a warehouse for routine operational matters.
Product identification was another important consideration.
The footwear range contains hundreds of SKUs, with many products appearing very similar while differing by model, colour or size. This makes accurate SKU control particularly important during picking and packing.

The Fulfillment Setup
Kube provides the client with a straightforward outsourced fulfillment setup covering:
- 01
Inventory storage
- 02
B2C order fulfillment
- 03
Pick & pack
- 04
SKU-based inventory control
- 05
Direct day-to-day operational communication
Orders are handled from Kube's Hong Kong warehouse, allowing the client to outsource the physical side of inventory and fulfillment without maintaining its own warehouse infrastructure.
05
Handling the Operational Complexity
The main operational challenge is not high-volume bulk handling, but product accuracy.
Different footwear SKUs can look almost identical while differing only in model, colour or size. A small picking error can therefore result in the wrong product being shipped to the customer.
Kube combines system-based SKU control with experienced warehouse staff who are familiar with handling visually similar products.
This provides an additional operational check during picking and packing and helps reduce the risk of sending the wrong variation.
Day-to-day coordination is handled remotely through direct communication, without requiring the client to be physically present at the warehouse.
06
The Result
The client can operate the e-commerce fulfillment side of the business without personally managing routine warehouse activities.
Inventory storage, product handling and order fulfillment are handled by Kube, while operational matters can be coordinated remotely.
This allows the owner to spend less time on physical warehouse work and focus more attention on other business and professional priorities.
